Spectrum 10 Plus
The Spectrum Plus system will remove or significantly reduce over 50 carcinogenic chemicals listed by the EPA, and also disinfect the entire home’s water supply against harmful pathogenic bacteria such as E. Coli, baccilary dysentary, typhoid, cholera, and others. Water disinfection by ultraviolet light is a physical procedure that does not alter your water’s chemical composition, smell or flavor. It’s an effective and economic alternative to chlorination.
The Spectrum Plus provides pure water at a rate of up to 10 gallons per minute, actually filtering hundreds of gallons per day. It will treat all the water for every sink, faucet, shower, and bathtub throughout the home. Constant improvements in water treatment technology have allowed this system to be manufactured on a scale that for the first time is both affordable and easy to maintain.
The First Stage: The water enters through a 10 micron pre-filter to remove any sediment that might be present. This filter is constructed of a durable, non-woven fabric which has been pleated to maximize its sediment holding capacity. It’s chemical and bacterial resistance makes this cartridge suitable for most light industrial and well water applications.
The Second Stage: After the water has been filtered for sediment, it enters a compacted bed of steam activated carbon. This removes unpleasant tastes and odors, and also chlorine, pesticides, THM’s, PCB’s, and other common chemicals that have been found in water supplies and have been defined as carcinogenic by the EPA. The 2nd stage of the Spectrum Plus Water Purification System will remove completely, or reduce significantly, many contaminants from your water.
The Third Stage: Finally, the water enters a stainless steel disinfecting chamber, which bombards bacteria, viruses, and harmful microorganisms with high levels of ultraviolet light and renders them harmless. This process of purification works without chemicals and leaves no residual in the water. Ultraviolet irradiation is now accepted by both the EPA and the FDA as a safe, effective method of water sterilization.
