Amaircare Chem Bio Airwash System
The Amaircare Chem Bio Airwash System was designed because of the new Chemical and Biological dangers. The Chembio Airwash downdraft HEPA sorting station for use in secured rooms in conjunction with proper masks and gloves for maximum protection from possible threats.
The ChemBio Airwash is a HEPA filtration system that creates a down-flow of air on a sorting surface, that leads directly into two HEPA filters which each has 100 ft. of.HEPA paper. Possible particulate hazards such as Chemicals or Bio-Matter are forced into the HEPA filter. The clean air out can be ducted to create a negative pressure in the room
For maximum protection, items should be directed to a sealed room with a ChemBio Airwash system in use. Any items would be inspected and/or opened directly on the ChemBio Airwash’s downdraft HEPA sorting surface.
Using Amaircare®’s Dual-HEPA design, they each employ two high-efficiency motor/fans and up to 200 sq. ft. of HEPA for 99.97% removal efficiency of particulates 0.3 microns and larger. They also employ a variety of available V.O.C. filters for removal of chemicals gases.

Three-Stage Filtration:

The Amaircare® ChemBio Airwash system is designed to be used in any situation where biochemically suspicious material is handled. For maximum protection, items should be directed to a sealed room with a ChemBio Airwash system in use. The operator would use latex gloves and appropriate masking.
How to use the ChemBio Airwash:
Turn the unit on High.
Allow the motor to reach maximum speed, maximum air intake will result at the DOWNDRAFT HEPA SORTING SURFACE.
Place the MATERIAL to be opened or inspected on the DOWNDRAFT HEPA SORTING SURFACE.
Proceed with opening or inspecting MATERIAL.
When completed - Turn the unit to low (it will continue to clean the surrounding air).
If any unknown, foreign, or suspicious substance has been detected, follow COMPANY PROCEDURES, secure the sorting area, and CALL AUTHORITIES IMMEDIATELY.

Carbon acts as a sponge to adsorb V.O.C.'s. The standard carbon blanket that comes with every Amaircare product is a very effective 'sponge', but with carbon, the more surface area there is, the more V.O.C.'s it can adsorb. So, the more carbon the better.
Amaircare provides an optional V.O.C. Canister with all of it's Central Systems and most of it's Portable systems. The V.O.C. Canister has a much larger surface area of carbon, so it's collection capacity is greatly increased. This makes the V.O.C. Cartridge the filter of choice for situations where increased V.O.C. Removal is important.
There are 2 types of V.O.C. Canisters.
100% Carbon: All Carbon to remove most common chemicals and odours.
40% Zeolite & 60% Carbon: A zeolite and carbon mix to broaden the range of chemicals and odours adsorbed by the V.O.C. Canister |
